House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi to Receive 21stAnnual International Role Model Award
Day’s Events Include Future of the Movement Panel w/ Melissa Harris-Perry
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Equality Forum, the nation’s premier lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights summit, will host two events today, leading off with the Future of the Movement panel discussion with Melissa Harris-Perry.
Following the panel discussion, Equality Forum will present two prestigious awards during its LGBT Champion Awards. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) will receive the 21st Annual International Role Model Award, presented by Marriage Equality Supreme Court Plaintiff, Jim Obergefell, while Ed Rendell, Chair of the Philadelphia Host Committee of the 2016 Democratic National Convention, will receive the Frank Kameny Award.
