Aging in Place
LGBT adults face unique challenges as they age. Government funding, medical reimbursement and the aging services networks are focusing future models of care on a system that encourages and supports the concept of aging in place. This program presents an overview of the work being accomplished by the LGBT Elder Initiative; describes the village movement model; assesses the impact of the Affordable Care Act on senior health; and outlines how changes to the Older Americans Act can help LGBT older adults successfully age in place.

A Theatre of Understanding on the Topic: Community Now … What Is Our Future?
This panel offers a discussion about the future of our communities. Are we still divided? It seems that after Equality Forum, Gay Pride and OutFest we all go our separate ways. Is it important to you that after these events we continue to work together? We want to have an honest and open discussion on some of the problems and concerns that separate our communities.
