“Preacher’s Sons”

“Preacher’s Sons” is the intimate, provocative story of a gay white couple, the Rev. Greg Stewart and his husband, Stillman, who adopts five black sons. In a humorous and poignant five-year odyssey through the American heartland, they learn that when it comes to homophobia and racism, where you live determines how you live. A Q&A session with the filmmaker, C. Roebuck Reed, follows the screening.

“OUT in the SILENCE”

“OUT in the SILENCE” captures the remarkable events that unfold after a same-sex wedding announcement ignites a firestorm of controversy in a small Pennsylvania town. The film offers an inspiring glimpse at the transformation that is possible when those who have long been constrained by a traditional code of silence summon the courage to break it. A Q&A session with the filmmakers, Joe Wilson and Dean Hamer, follows the screening.
